Alec Shane Benjamin (born May 28, 1994) is an American singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona. He was featured in Jon Bellion's single, "New York Soul (Part II)."
On the Zach Sang Show, Benjamin shared that he first met Bellion at a festival in the UK. Afterwards, he knew Bellion was on a tour and wanted to meet up. He attended the Arizona show, his father driving him at night, and the two artists hung out. Benjamin shared his song, "I Built a Friend," and Bellion invited him to co-write in Los Angeles where they worked on the song "New York Soul (Part II)." Benjamin contributed to the chorus. A year later, Bellion contacted him and said of keeping his voice on the record.[1] He additionally was an opening act for Bellion's tour, The Human Condition.[2]
